Research and development of the brand started in 2019 after personal frustration with the lack of online services available for last minute outfits. Being a last minute shopper I could rarely find anything which would arrive in time. Buying western clothes was always a breeze as i could go online and receive an outfit the very next day so why could i not do this with Asian clothing? So this is where it all began..
After many months of research into fabrics, sizing, design and logistics we launched Amala in October 2021.
The story and vision for the brand is simple. Hand embroidered lehengas, shararas and trouser suits designed for the contemporary and fashion focused women. Amala is an Asian wear brand with design, fit and service at its heart; created to redefine the shopping experience for all generations.

All of our outfits are hand embroidered and made using stretch fabric lining removing the need for a tailor. We stock over 600 hundred outfits in our UK warehouse ready to be shipped.

Amala’s sensational designs focus on the premium end of the market, so that every customer can enjoy affordable luxury. All designs are hand embroidered and manufactured in India to the highest standards.
Design inspiration is drawn from the world around us, and today's modern lifestyle and fashion trends. Amala’s talented design team launches four fashion collections per year, with additional special occasion extras.
Every design is bespoke, and each piece is hand embroidered by an experienced artisan. We produce only a limited stock of each design, to ensure that the customer can flaunt an outfit that is not mass marketed or high street commonplace.
